SCD Burner Heating Issue - Value Fixed at 1263 C

Question

We use 8355 SCD Detector. We always face issues with the burner heating. The set temp is 800 C and the actual value always show a fixed value of 1263 C. Is it the problem with the thermocouple? When we try to change the position of the thermocouple inside the burner, the temperature varies. Kindly advise

It sounds like a bad connection on the thermocouple or a problem with the thermocouple itself. If the thermocouple is securely plugged into the back of the 8355, I recommend scheduling a visit by an Agilent service representative.
