Driver updates are posted on SubscribeNet shortly after each release, so anyone who has purchased GC Drivers or a CDS that includes them can download them from their SubscribeNet account.

For GC driver update, there's no need for license upgrade. Upgrade is needed only in case that you upgrade software version or if (maybe, but i'm not sure) you upgrade headspace driver. 

This is true - and firmware updates are, thanks to Agilent's approach to this, very easy to do and (if necessary) undo.
