7890 GC "inlet pressure decay test" and GSV installed

Question

Hello Agilent, 
 Do the "7890 GC inlet decay test" work even if a gas sampling valve (GSV) is installed in series with the split/splitless (S/SL) injection port?

Yes, the inlet decay test will test everything between the bottom of the inlet where the plug is, to the EPC module for the inlet. If the GSV is between the EPC and inlet, it will be tested. The pressure decay test is great determining if there are leaks between the two points and I would recommend running the test with the GSV in the off mode as will as in the on mode to ensure the loop is also leak free.
