Issues with 7890B/7697A GC-HS Model

Use a regular split liner instead of the 2mm ID liner.  I recommend Agilent PN 5190-2295 or equivalent.  It should work fine and make it easier to remove the weldment for maintenance.

It looks like you are using the transfer line interface accessory - is that correct?  If yes, I would recommend you try the Ultra Inert Straight 2.0 mm liner, part number 5190-6168.

Part number 5190-6168 was designed to be used with the transfer line interface accessory - it may have been included in the transfer line interface accessory ship kit.

Thanks for the recommendation. Do you believe this is considered equivalent to 5181-8818? Also, may I ask why you think 5190-6168 would work better for us?

Is 5181-8818 the direct, 2mm liner designed to be used with inlets not using this accessory? This liner, in my opinion, barely fit when we use the transfer line interface accessory and when we would tighten the inlet that piece would sometimes crack the liner and then we would find the transfer line interface accessory permanently bent (which is why we had to replace it once)... have you heard of this issue before?

Is the 5190-6168 liner okay to use with systems that do not have the transfer line interface accessory?

Assuming you are referring to Headspace sampling only, then yes 5190-6168 is okay to use with systems with or without the G3520A transfer line interface.  5190-6168 was designed with revised tolerances that make it better suited for the G3520A needle guide (that portion that sticks into liner which caused breakage).
