KPR#:230

Hey Everyone,

I was interested in reinstalling an old GC7820A with a FID in our Labs, sadly we only have a spare license of OpenLab CDS 1.03.

This however has a known Error with gaschromatographs using a Backinjector, which is installed.

Error KPR#:230

Upon launching the 7820A, the following message appears:

DEF_GC.M: 7820
Resetting to Manual injection.
For method 'DEF_GC.M, injection source 'GC Injector' conflicts with injection location.

The tempory solution does not work, as directly after choosing GC-injector via the Instrument-tab the same error message appears.

The Support cannot help me, as this is a not supported version anymore. Do you have an Idea besides buying a new software?

  • Hello  .

If you have tried the solution shown on the link and it doesn't work, it does not leave you with many options.

I assume you are currently using two injectors? The link you shared implies that using a single injector does not show that error. Have you tried that, using a single injector, to see if you are still getting the error?

Have you also tried multiple methods, to see if maybe that temporary solution works for other methods?

Other than that, it seems the only solution would be the update, unfortunately, I cannot think of anything else.

  • The GC ONLY has the backinlet installed.

From the looks of it, it seems quite tedious to change the whole inlet installation.

I clicked through a few different Methods, but didnt know what to look out for.

Thanks for the help in advance :)

  • Hello  ,

Unfortunately I do not have any other suggestions. The official fix was provided via an update. If the temporary fix does not work, that might be an issue in itself, and and a repair/reinstall of the software might be a solution.

I am nowhere near 100% certain that will fix the problem though. Upgrade would be the way to go. I am marking the answer as verified, as an official solution is provided via the update. But do let me know if you find something that worked.
