ECM Configuration - LDAP

Is there a way to re-configure or reconnect the LDAP settings on the ECM? There were some updates to our password security that impacted the account used and now it is locked out. Any advice?

  • Hello,

Is this ECM 3.x or ECM-XT? ECM 3.x has built-in accounts you can typically use to login if all domain accounts are unavailable. Is the account that is locked out your only admin account in the system or is it the service account used to query the domain for authentication?

  • Hi Marty, sorry for just now getting back to you. Im surprise I did not receive a notification.

The ECM version we have is ECM 3.4.1 SP2 . My colleague is trying to locate the information for the built-in account. Our security architecture went through an upgrade and impacted the service account. I was able to get most of everything updated but the ECM server does not seem to recognize our login credentials. We were hoping to log in with the local account and re-establish the connection.

The service account was used to service the query.

  • Hello,

If you do not have an active SMA on the ECM system you could contact your local support group, and they can get you in contact with informatics support. If none of your domain users can access the system you will need to access it using a built-in account. If you do not have access to any built-in accounts and passwords, you would need to access the ECM database. Before you contact support make sure your IT has access to the ECM db in SQL or Oracle.
