I'm running OpenLab CDS 2.5 (Update 5) with ECM (184.108.40.206) in a client/server environment. We are FDA regulated, Part 11 compliant, so I have to be super careful with data. An analyst reported that his data is missing when he tries to find it on ECM. I looked into it... no errors being reported by ECM, activity log shows the sequence completed, nothing out of the ordinary. Logged into the AIC, and there are is a stack of files in the File Upload Queue. The error being reported is: "The communication object, System.ServiceModel.Channels.ServiceChannel, cannot be used for communication because it is in the Faulted state.". I tried resubmitting the files and I get the same error. Our other 7 AICs do not have the same error.
I contact IT and am told "have you tried turning off and back on again?"
Here's my question: can I reboot the AIC while there are files in the upload queue? Will they be lost forever or will they be back in the queue when the system comes back? Or is there some other fix to implement?
