which .dev file are you trying to load did it work on this computer before?

Does the error say "Device type Bravo does not exist" 

Are you able to initialize the Bravo?

I'm having a similar issue.

• VWorks v12.3
• Modified Manifest file so that the app opens without admin privileges
• If VWorks is ran as an admin, I can initialize the devices fine
• If I run VWorks as a non-admin, It says "Device Type Does Not Exist" whenever I try to load a device file or add the Agilent Microplate Labeler from the devices available

Any thoughts on how to run this as a non-admin? Due to being a School of Medicine and Public Health, we cannot give local users administrator rights to their computers.

The issue you experiencing it is likely that the non-admin user has not been given sufficient permissions to the plugin and/or cache folder that are required to work around the Windows admin requirement present in 12.3 and 13.x.
