ICP-MS MassHunter Batch Templates in Compliance Mode with Protect Local Data = ON

Instead of building batches from scratch every day, ICP-MS MassHunter users have the option of saving a ‘perfect’ batch as a template batch file. By starting a new batch from a template, much of the tedious and time consuming work of building a batch is already done. Batch templates are normally saved a Batch Templates folder on the local drive, but when configuring ICP-MS MassHunter in Compliance Mode with Protect Local Data = ON, batch templates are now stored in a database with the batch run data. With a new database, there is no Batch Template folder in the database. This video demonstrates how to save or transfer batch templates to a new database.

Importing and Exporting ICP-MS MassHunter Batches in Compliance Mode

When ICP-MS MassHunter is configured in Compliance Mode, all raw data is stored to a database. Sharing batches with colleagues, other instruments or with Agilent for assistance with applications, is not as straight forward as when data was just stored on the computer local drive. This video demonstrates how to pull batches from a database to share and how to move a batch from one database to another.

Report Designer for ICP-MS MassHunter in Compliance Mode

The ICP-MS MassHunter Report Designer is a tool used by customers to customize report templates. The report Designer was always accessible from ICP-MS MassHunter DataAnalysis software, but when configuring ICP-MS MassHunter in Compliance Mode with Protect Local Data = ON, users could no longer access the Report Designer. This is because the Report Designer always requires a batch to model the changes that the Report Designer makes to a template. With Protect Local Data = ON, there is no batch accessible to model. This video demonstrates how users can still use the Report Designer to customize their report templates when Protect Local Data = ON.
