Need some help. I am using 8900 triple quad to run organic analysis.
I observe after certain sample matrix, K is very difficult and slow to be washed out (P as an example easily washes off after 2nd blank wash but not K). Has anyone ever experience this?
Even with 6 - 7 blank wash runs (which pretty much equate to more than 1 hour of washing), K is still persistent and is being washed out very slowly.
I have read that it is not typical for alkali metals (including K) to have memory effect but I can only assume in the presence of certain organic/oil matrix, K seems to stay longer in the system.
Any recommendations on what can be done to wash K out faster?
I am using xylene as my solvent.
