We have an MP 4210 and have recently acquired an SPS 3 autosampler that was calibrated by the reseller. The autosampler communicates with the PC and I can get the sampling arm to move up and down and return to the rinse. However,
- The autosampler will only move when it is sent to a position in Standard Rack 1. However, instead of moving immediately to the right of the rinse where the standards should be, the arm moves to Rack 2 Tube 60 (using 60 samples x 16 mm id racks).
- The autosampler does not move when it is sent to a sample position in any of the three sample racks. Instead, this error message pops up:
- Sent: set_rack(1,60) Received: ERR(103) Details: Check the rack type and reset the autosampler. Rack type error - the specified rack type is out of range.
- The autosampler always moves back to Rinse correctly when sent to Rinse.
Is this a firmware issue? Does anyone know what could be causing this?
