Spectra AA software migration

You cannot "transfer" the software and license.  You will need to follow the instructions in provided with the software, then use the product key on the media case to register it.  You can find you product key on the old computer.  Make sure you can view hidden files.  Open Windows File Explorer, go to the View tab, and make sure the box next to Hidden Items is checked.  On that old pc, go to C:\Program Data\Varian folder.  You will see your license file there SpectrAA license_V5.lic.  Open this with notepad or wordpad.  Scroll down and you will see an area bracketed top and bottom by <Meta>  in that area will be a an entry <Value key="ProductKey" value=" followed by 4 sets of 5 alpha numeric values.  This is your product key you will need to enter when you register on the new pc.  You cannot transfer this license as it is tied to the computer and will not work on the new PC.

Version 5.4 is not Windows 11 compatible, so you will need to install on a Windows 10 computer.  Version 5.6 is Windows 11 supported, contact your local Agilent office to get a quote for upgrade if you want to run on Windows 11.
