My 7700 ICP-MS get saturated signal

Question

My 7700 ICP/MS has very high signals for all masses, which are about from 11E6 to 17E6. and very stable at that high levels. Of course I can not tune or analyze samples. Is it any problem with the detector ?

Hi haiedc, I think we are seeing huge background signal coming from your quarupole and not from your detector. The signal for 7 is lower compared to the signal of 205. I think the best choice is to call an agilent engineer and troubleshoot it on line. So probably a good starting point is to replace the detector and re-check the system. Did the on-line tool help for your case?
