Hello,
While in shutdown mode you can try to loosen the vent valve for 2 seconds to introduce air, tighten, and then restart vacuum. You can also check with the instrument off, that the ion gauge cable is secure and wasn't accidently bumped while accessing the vacuum switch.
it is possible there is a fault with the instrument that will require an onsite visit. I would recommend contacting Agilent Online Technical support to begin this process. Have a great day
Thank you John. Do you know where the ion gauge is located in the vaccumpump?
Have a great day!
Hi, the Pump itself has no Ion Gauge.
If you open the large lid from the icp ms, you will see on the right hand side a cylinder with a blue cable. this is the ion gauge for the analyzer pressure. make sure, that the cable sits correctly.
Then, open the vent screw (nurled nut approx. 40cm left oft the ion gauge) for 2-3 seconds.
Best Regards
Chris
Dear All, I have the same problem - do you have any advice for me? Opening the vent isn't working unfortunately :/
