analize sulfur and chlorine with a ICP-OES 5800

you need sulfur calibration standards and chlorine calibration standards. Samples, Blank and standards must have no Hydrochloric acid used in preparation.  Sulfur requires analysis down in the low UV at 180nm and 181nm so you will need to turn the polyboost on, and if viewing radially you need to turn on the snout purge. For chlorine, analysis is at 774nm.

You are using an ICPOES 5800 correct? It is an argon plasma. 

yes we have an ICP OES 5800 sequential, and only use argon plasma
