does powder free of nitrile gloves lead to high zinc counts in ICP-MS?

For Low Level work I like to run my gloves under DI water then shake off the excess water (do not dry on a towel or cloth). If you suspect gloves are the issue, try a different supplier or get cleanroom nitrile gloves (typically white not blue or green like surgical gloves)

Thank you for your suggestions. they are very helpful 

we bought another kind of gloves which is made of polyethylene gloves which is transparent and tried it. it seems ok. 

because our lab only has blue nitrile gloves, we will try vinyl gloves today which is white. Hopefully, it will be ok. 

lastly, we will require to rinse gloves with DI water before we start preparing standard solutions.

indeed, powder free nitrile gloves could contain a lot of zinc.

If you want to be sure, put a glove in 1% HNO3 and run a fullscan to see what (and how much) contaminations do they emmit.

we would not use powder-free nitrile gloves when we test Zinc. Instead, we use polyethylene gloves.
