Hi, We have a Agilent 5110 ICP-OES and when we started up the instrument, several times the temperature of polychromator&acute;s peltier reach -90&deg;C. In the technical consult the engineer say that the problem could be moisture in the argon Supply line that condense on the optic chamber and purging with boost for 3-4 hours may be solve the problem but not always work.

Hello,

I very much doubt that the true temperature of the polychromator has reached -90 deg. C.
I suspect an error or fault condition that means the temperature read-out is not correct.
The faults described are not likely to be things that can be fixed or checked by a normal “user”. I would recommend you contact your local service engineer for assistance in this case,
