Loud POP then ICPMS rough pump no longer working

ICPMS 7800 was running then we heard a loud POP, like a balloon popping, and now the rough pump will not turn on. We contacted service and they said it could be the rough pump or the power supply to the rough pump. Has anyone heard a loud POP and lost their rough pump? I am trying to determine if it is the rough pump, a board, or the power supply to the rough pump. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Sometimes the breaker from the Power supply to the pump just trips. It does make a pop noise when that happens. Have you checked the red breaker on the back of the ICPMS is on? Also when you turn vacuum on, you can unplug the pump and test the voltage from the Power supply where the pump plugs in. If you get 208V your power supply is fine and it’s the pump.

Thanks for the information. I checked both the breaker and the power switch next to the plug before posting yesterday. Both appear to be in working order. Once I locate a voltmeter I will check the power supply.
