ICP 7800 communication

For some reason, I rebuilt the ICPMS computer and re-installed the MassHunter 4.4 on the computer (Win 10 Enterprise). When I tried to connect the masshunter and the ICPMS, by checking the "check firmware" box. It said "masshunter needs to be updated because firmware is newer than expected version. It will go offline." If I uncheck the "check firmware" box, it was fine and I could control the instrument. However, when I tried to run batches, it had an error "Could not load file or assembly "BaseTof.dll" or one of its dependencies."

Does anyone know how to fix it?

I would guess you had a Patch for Masshunter installed.
you can easily find them on Agilent.com when you search for C.01.04 Patches.
Download and install the latest one and everything should be fine

It fixed the offline problem; however, the error "Could not load file or assembly "BaseTof.dll" or one of its dependencies." still comes up. And One time, it showed "Could not load file or assembly "BaseTof, version=7.0.7024.0".

Actually, I do find the baseTof.dll in ICPMH\Bin.

I would suggest reinstalling the C.01.04 and the latest patch. Not to mention that C.01.04. is obsolete. I would strongly recommend to look for an upgrade as soon as possible.

It doesn't help. It keeps showing up "Could not load file or assembly "BaseTof.dll" or one of its dependencies." when I tried to run batches.

With 4.4 you have to install some Microsoft Patches manually.

You can find them on the installation disc in the folder "Microsoft". Be sure to install all of them. And yes, there are some 32 and 64bit Versions, all of them are needed. In later Masshunter Versions, these Patches are installed automatically.
