I need to start validations of food products by ICPMS 7800 .. please share me Any SOP or reference documents related to food products method validation..

    Food is a very diverse sample type. There are many different types and different methods of sample preparation required. So you may need to be more specific.

    But as a guide, there are a number of application notes available from the Agilent website that may be a good reference for you initially (as suggested by the previous responder). Specifically, look at these applications:

     

    The following application outlined a method for analysis of major and trace elements in microwave digested fortified food (meal replacement) samples and infant formula. The quality of the data was assessed through the measurement of an infant/adult nutritional formula standard reference material (SRM). 28 elements were determined, including the seven most commonly regulated elements in foods (As, Cd, Hg, Pb, Ni, Sn, and Cr). Excellent recoveries were achieved in all cases. The 7800 ICP-MS also showed excellent stability over a six-hour run and exceeded detection limit requirements specified in the GB standard method.     In addition, there is also an application that covers the determination of 13 elements (As, Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Hg, Mn, Mo, Pb, Se, Tl, U, and Zn) in animal feed samples working to the new European Standard Method, EN 17053:2018 “Animal feeding stuffs - Methods of sampling and analysis - determination of trace elements, heavy metals, and other elements in feed by ICP-MS (multi-method)”. A “High Matrix” preset method in ICP-MS MassHunter was used to simplify the development and operation of the method. Excellent recoveries were achieved for all elements across a wide concentration range using He mode to remove all common polyatomic interferences. The 7800 ICP-MS exceeded detection limit requirements specified in the EN 17053:2018 standard method and showed excellent stability over a nine-hour ISTD recovery test and a QC recovery run.
