Spiking Setup and Spike Recovery Calculation in MassHunter 5.2 (ICP-MS 7850)

I use ICP-MS 7850 with MassHunter 5.2.

When spiking environmental water samples (e.g., 9.9 mL sample + 0.1 mL spike solution):

1. Do I need to apply a dilution factor (DF)?
2. If yes, what spike concentration should I enter in the calibration table?
3. How should I set up the spiked sample and reference sample in the calibration table for proper Spike Recovery % calculation?
4. What is the common practice for spiking in this scenario? Could someone share a clear example with typical values?

I’d really appreciate an example showing how to set up spiked samples in MassHunter, including how to enter spike details in the calibration table and how to calculate spike recovery.
