SpectrAA 240FS - Net Framework error

Hello

We are experimenting erratic errors when running different Methods. SpectrAA software suddenly dissapears in the middle of the execution withouth none alert.  SEarching in Windows event viewer, I find always same error:

Also, when analyst gets error, a temporal file (SpectrAA.log) is generated for this user, with all description and last lines are as follows:

This log only appears when software crashes. As this is a GMP system we cannot make changes as should alter validated state. This error doesn't happens always, some times analyst end the test successfully.

Are you able to give us an approach to solve this error?

Thanks in advance

Regards

  • What version of SpectrAA are you running?  If you go to Help and About SpectrAA... it will tell you the version.

What version of Windows are you running?  In the Windows search bar enter winver and run the app.  It will tell you at the top the Windows version and 2 lines down the version number.

The older SpectrAA software will not run on Windows 11.  Some of the older versions are not supported on the newer Windows 10 versions (20H2 and newer).

  • Hello Tom

thanks for answering. My current verion of SpectrAA is 5.6 CFR, and Windows is a version 10 Enterprise.

As this is a server client system, I checked numeric format for decimals and thousands, granting both pcs have same configuration. Maybe when running a method some conflict due to this?

Thanks again and wish you a Merru Christmas

  • Hello again,

in the same line, I'm noting that sometimes, when opening session in SpectrAA, parameters appears with comma as decimal and closing and opening session, parameters get decimal point as decimal separator.

This happens both with results and/or methods files

    best

  • Are both set to use English format?  "." for decimal separator?  Is this being changed by your IT at times?

Check that .NET framework 3.5 is enabled on both client and server.  I have seen where a company's IT removes this on one or the other and you can get conflicts.

Is this happening when the user stops the run manually?  I found this in the Software Status Bulletin but for Zeeman instruments.  Might be the flame has the same issue when stopped.

Problem: When stopping a Zeeman method during the drying stage, the error TAnalyActionThread occurs. Workaround: This is an intermittent defect that can occur if a Zeeman method is stopped during the drying stage. If this error occurs restart the software and instrument.

  • Yes, both systems are set to US format:

Also, Net framework 3.5 enabled in both systems

User never stops run manually, this execute always automatically until the end, but this issue crashes the SpectrAA software in any step and dissapears so user is in desktop withouth any error message. When I found previous SpectrAA.log, I suppected about a conflict between regional format on both PCs.

    Thanks !!!
