After a sample is completed, there is an "automatic" rinse done at cups 1 and 2. If we have a pause in the batch then the sample probe sits in cup 2. We would like for it to go to the home position then pause.
Is there a script to do this, or a software change in the "automatic" rinse routine to end in the home position before going to the next line?

What is the hardware and software setup/version like:
- autosamper
- isis
- software version
- type of matrix
In ICP-MS Masshunter 4.5 you can set the last "rinse step" line into the home position for example one second. Then always the run ends in the home position. Picture below is different when ISIS is used.
