This Information Applies To: Agilent AriaMx real-time PCR system
Issue
An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) can be used to protect your AriaMx from interruptions in power.
Resolution
The objective is to ensure that your power needs are matched with the capabilities of the UPS so that your instruments continue to run in a power outage.
Identify Your Power Needs
Determine the maximum power consumption that needs to be covered by the UPS. The minimum capacity for a UPS is 1100 voltamperes (VA) per AriaMx.
Use a UPS Calculator
Many UPS vendors provide a calculator tool that can help you select the correct capacity.
Typically, to use these tools, you will need to input some specific information based on your requirements:

Tip: For full information on the AriaMx operating requirements, see the AriaMx Site Preparation Checklist.

Caution: Always ensure that the chosen UPS can handle the power requirements of the AriaMx.
