How to Check the Software Version on my GC/MS System?

Steps to Follow

MassHunter GC/MS Acquisition Software

1. Launch an Online of Offline Instrument session.

2. From the main menu, click Help > About.

3.  A dialog box about MassHunter GC/MS Data Acquisition Workstation will open. The software version will be displayed (See yellow box in Figure 3)

MassHunter Qualitative Analysis Software

1. Launch MassHunter Qualitative Analysis.
   • The desktop icon will be different depending on your software version. If your software is version B.08.xx, you will have two Qualitative Analysis applications: Navigator and Workflows (see Figure 4).
     You can launch either one to access the version information.

2. From the main menu, click Help > About

3. A dialog box about MassHunter Qualitative Analysis Workstation will open. The software version will be displayed (See yellow box in Figure 6)

MassHunter Quantitative Analysis Software

Launch MassHunter Workstation Quantitative Analysis. Depending on how your software was originally installed, you may have the Quant-My-Way interface, the Classic User Interface or both.

• Quantitative Analysis Quant-My-Way interface
  1. Double-click the MassHunter Quantitative Analysis desktop icon (See Figure 7).

  2. From the top ribbon click the File tab, then click About Quantitative Analysis.

     Note: If you have MassHunter Quantitative Analysis Version 10, you can also find out the revision from the top ribbon by clicking the Help tab and then clicking About Quantitative Analysis.

• Quantitative Analysis Classic User Interface
  1. Double-click the MassHunter Quantitative Analysis desktop icon (see Figure 10).

  2. From the main menu, click Help > About Quantitative Analysis

  3. Selecting About Quantitative Analysis from either Quant-My-Way or Classic UI, prompts a dialog box displaying the revision information (See yellow boxes in Figure 12 and Figure 13).

OpenLab CDS Software

1. Launch an online Instrument session either from the Control Panel or the Acquisition instrument shortcut on your computer desktop.

2. From the ribbon bar. click the File tab.

3. From the navigation bar on the left, click About.

4. A dialog box with details about the version of OpenLab CDS will open (see orange box in Figure 17).
