If these issues are being experienced, this document can be used to help troubleshoot.

 

Here is a list of the most common causes for this error:

  • Instrument not close enough to wireless access point (<25 feet)
  • Institution using WPA-Enterprise/RADIUS network, which cannot be configured with XFp software
  • Wireless network does not broadcast SSID for security reasons

 

Try these steps for a possible resolution:

  • Verify that the instrument is close enough to WPA
  • Verify with institution’s IT department that a WPA-Enterprise/RADIUS network is not being used
  • Verify with institution’s IT department whether or not the wireless network broadcasts SSID
