In some instances the concentration of a sample may exceed the calibrated range of calibration curve or it may exceed the highest concentration value of the standards. When this occurs, the Calc. Conc. column of the Batch is flagged as a red outlier indicating that the calculated concentration is outside the range.
Experimentally there are two common procedures to rectify this issue and obtain analytically valid results.
In the first method, the sample can be re-extracted at a lower amount or volume.
The second potential method for analysis would be a dilute-and-shoot procedure.
