Gamma valerolactone (GVL) and SEC HPLC suitability

Dear LC users,

I'm doing a research on replacing CMR solvents for SEC HPLC analysis. (we are using chloroform and THF currently).

I was wondering if anyone has experience on using Gamma-valerolactone as a solvent for HPLC/SEC?

I am planning on using a PLgel MIXED-D, 7.5 x 300 mm, 5 µm, HPLC column in combination with a 1260 Infinity II ELSD detector from Agilent. (and a Agilent HPLC).

Are there any parts that could be damaged by the nature of this chemical?

Any other things to keep in mind?

(I already plan on optimizing column flow/temperature and ELSD temperature/gas flow)

Opinions or tips and tricks are very welcome!
