xylose or other sugars on Zorbax SB-Aq column

Question

Currently using a Zorbax SB-Aq column on an HPLC using UV detector. Has anyone had success analyzing for xylose or other sugars on this setup?

Hi hutchsin, 
 sugar and sugar alcohol analyses are not working well on reversed phase columns. The better choice is either an amino column or ion-exclusion chromatography columns like the Hi-Plex series. (See this community article ) 
 Additionally sugars and their alcohols are not UV-absorbant and you need a detector like a refractive-index detector.
