Hello Sanjay,
Methyl mercury can be determined using ICP-Ms by coupling a HPLC to the front of the instrument.
The column of the HPLC can separate the different mercury species in time (including methyl mercury) to enable their determination using the ICP-MS.
Agilent has published some application notes that outline methods for determination of methyl mercury and other species in a number of sample matrices.
Although these do not match the sample type you asked about, they should provide broad guidance for how to tackle this. See this application for example:
Title:
Fast and Accurate Speciation of Mercury in Milk and Honey Food Products by HPLC-ICP-MS
Available from the Agilent website here:
https://www.agilent.com/cs/library/applications/application-milk-and-honey-7850-icp-ms-5994-3628en-agilent.pdf
There are also some journal articles available that can be of assistance. See this article for example:
Title:
Tin and mercury and their speciation (organotin compounds and methylmercury) in worldwide red wine samples determined by ICP-MS and GC-ICPMS
I hope these references can get you started - but let us know if you need further assistance,
Cheers Eric
